Current Research and Interests:

I’m currently studying the neurocognitive deficits present in dementia of the Alzheimer’s type and developing a cognitive intervention program which aims to tackle the cognitive problems associated with it. The main goals of this research are to provide understanding about the underpinnings of the psychological processes in this pathology and to provide means of improving cognition and quality of life of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

I´m interested in neuropsychology, the study of the relation between the brain and psychological processes and behavior. Specifically my main interests are both the study and rehabilitation of the complex orchestra which is memory.
